ARRANGEMENTS FOR RESULTS DAYS AUGUST 2026

Dear Y11 and Y13 students and parents

Results will be emailed out to all students on the morning of results days to student school email addresses. It is not possible to request alternate email addresses.

Results will also be available to all students from the 6th form common room on the following dates:

Students that have applied to Balcarras Sixth Form, met the entry requirements as stated in their conditional offer letter and wish to confirm their place, we ask you to please sign your name on sheets that will be available at the Sixth Form entrance on results day. If you are unable to do this in person, we ask you to please email sfadmissions@balcarras.gloucs.sch.uk by 3pm to confirm your place.

If you do not meet your entry requirements and would like to discuss your options, please visit the Sixth Form meeting room on results day morning, which is located on the first floor, and a member of the Sixth Form team will come and chat with you about your options. 

In the event you are unable to visit the school in person and do not get the results required to get into Sixth Form, we ask that you please phone us as soon as possible on 01242 515881. Please be advised the phone lines will be busy however, it is important a discussion is had and we thank you in advance for your patience. 

Results will NOT be given out to a 3rd party unless authorisation from the student has been provided. This authorisation must name the person allowed to collect the results. Any such provision needs to be arranged with the Exams Office before the end of the summer term.

Our aim is to hand out results as speedily as possible. We would therefore ask you to refrain from telephone enquiries except in exceptional circumstances.

RESULTS WILL NOT BE GIVEN OUT OVER THE PHONE.

Staff will be available on results days to offer advice and guidance on the best course of action and of course to offer their congratulations! It is important that students come into school on results day, particularly if this is their final year of study.

Post results services and associated fees will be emailed out in due course. 

Arrangements for receipt of exam Certificates

GCSE and A-Level certificates will be available for collection early December from the main reception. 

Certificates are held by the school for a maximum of 12-months after which time, in accordance with the awarding body’s guidelines, the school is required to confidentially dispose of them.
